Electrical Engineer (Test Bay Supervisor) - County Cavan. In this role you will take any and all measures that will ensure that tests are performed and reported within a Quality Management framework and that the test bay operates so that the requirements of QC Manual are consistently met in accordance with the requirements of ISO 17025 and best practice so as to ensure Quality and Safety. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: • To manage the activities of the Quality Assurance Function in the Test bay so as to ensure that the Test Bay operates in accordance with the requirements of QC Manual and ISO 17025. • Liaise directly with the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) as it applies to: -Regulatory /Accreditation Audits (Pre and Post. -Provision of information following major change to Personnel or Processes. -The submission of the annual Report. • In consultation with all staff lead the development, implementation and review of the Quality Management System to ensure Regulatory requirements are met and best practice is achieved. • To participate in training a team of skilled staff and to promote healthy working relationships within the organisation. • To actively participate in and promote continuing education activities consistent with the position. • Management of the controlled documentation and change control activities. • Writing, revision and review of Quality Management Procedures. • Management/ performance of the Internal Quality Audit Programme. • Management of training traceable to the Training Plan. • Setting up and maintaining an Asset Register. • Management of Validation Programmes for critical Equipment and Processes. • Management of Maintenance/Calibration Programmes for equipment and utilities including Service Contracts. • Management and review non-conforming events including product failures. • Management of archived documentation. • Perform induction training of new staff. • Implementing a system for the Documentation, Review. • Setting up of Service Level Agreements with Third parties for services that are relevant to the accreditation process. • To work closely with the R&D for the improvement of Test and Test Bay. • Prepare the Test and Inspection plan for customers. • Schedule the test for customer witness test and submit report. • Co-ordinates internal audits of the test bay in accordance with the quality manual; • Maintains, analyzes, and updates statistical data and/or control charts; • Participates in available and relevant proficiency tests, round-robins, and/or interest bay collaborative studies; • Maintain the quality manual. • Driving continuous improvement processes within test bay. • Electrical fault determination /fail-safing. • Meeting customers on and off site. • Perform type testing which includes: noise measurement, partial discharge measurement and impulse testing. • ‘Manage throughput of testbays in line with Production & shipping requirements maximising the Testbay capacity at all times.
