The Council takes the lead in promoting the economic, social and culture development of the County to improve the quality of life for citizens in order to promote sustainable and inclusive society. A Vacancy now exists in Cavan County Council for an experienced Senior Manager to play a leadership role as a Director of Service. Reporting to the Chief Executive of the Local Authority, s/he will be responsible for policy implementation, service delivery and change management. The successful candidate will have: • the necessary senior level leadership and management skills to manage, develop and motivate a large multidisciplinary team; • experience of managing change in a complex and dynamic environment; • a significant record of achievement of results; • excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
