Our Client, in Co. Cavan, is looking for a Buyer/ Planner to join their team. The role holder will be responsible for the overall management and supply of goods, while optimizing inventory levels and ensuring availability of materials in line with planned requirements. Key responsibilities: Manage supply of raw materials and non stock inventory; Manage longer term requirements; Expedite material delivery on a daily basis and generate and manage supply; Take ownership for inventory levels ensuring stock levels are in control; Report on supply issues/shortages, inventory levels and logistical challenges; Monthly reporting on procurement KPI’s. Qualifications, Experience, Skills requires: Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent; IIPMM or APICS qualification preferred but not essential; Minimum 3+ yrs experience in a similar role in an ERP environment (preferably SAP. Working knowledge of forecasting, demand planning and procurement techniques. Excellent communications skills and ability to prioritise. Proactive attitude to work.
