Product Development Engineer. Role Type: Permanent. Role Location: Co Cavan, commutable from parts of Monaghan as well. We are currently partnering exclusively with our client to source a junior to mid level project engineer to work across new product development, process improvements and quality within a progressive team. This is a great opportunity for candidates who have a desire to make a change through the application of systematic, data-driven thinking. We will highly value candidates who have a track record of continuous improvement, project planning and a determination to see things through to completion. The main duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows: - Work with manufacturing and design engineers in development and improvements to the existing production process. - Test and document production equipment changes and improvements. - Analyze and recommend improvements to all materials to increase efficiency of all polymer processes and collaborate with process engineering team to forecast requirements. - Recommend innovative improvements to all processes and monitor all competitor activities and determine all quality specifications for all new materials. - Monitor all customer issues and assist to identify and resolve issues effectively and assist senior staff to develop resolution for all issues. Successful candidates must have:- A relevant Engineering qualification. - 1 to 3 years' experience in a goal orientated team environment in Polymer Engineering. - Previous experience of working with Lean Principles an advantage. - Working knowledge of ISO 9001. - Good communication skills and ability to liaise with Management and external teams. - Capable of working in a challenging environment with deadlines. - Analytical and problem solving capabilities. - Ability to plan, organise & implement multiple concurrent tasks. - Team player with the ability to work on their own initiative. - Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Office programmes.
