My client is currently recruiting a Junior Quantity Surveyor based their Cavan office. Established in 1992 their Senior Management team has a combined 120+ years’ experience at the forefront of the Irish construction industry. The ideal candidate should have: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics. Minimum of 12months construction experience. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent numerical and I.T skills. Good organizational skills and ability to work to deadlines. Knowledge of Buildsoft an advantage. Responsibilities will include: Analysing and preparing tender documents. Preparing BOQs and taking off quantities. Procuring materials for site and agreeing on monthly valuations. Monitor any variations to the contract that may impact costs. Support in the preparation of accurate forecasts of project costs to completion and final value. Responsible for procuring sub-contracts and assisting in agreeing on final accounts. This role would suit a graduate with 1-2 years’ experience in the commercial and pharmaceutical industry.
