Financial System Analyst. Role Type: Permanent. Location: Cavan/Meath. Role Overview. To provide support to system accountants and Finance business area to ensure that the financial system is maintained in terms of financial controls, functionality, reporting, enhancements and security in line with best practice and business requirements. Work to identify Finance change needs, assessing the impact of the change, capturing and documenting requirements and then ensuring that those requirements are delivered at satisfactory quality levels whilst supporting the business through the implementation process. Responsibilities. • Work closely with the Finance Business Unit to ensure effective capture of Business Requirements and benefits during the delivery of projects and change to support Business Goals. • Be a key stakeholder in the Quality assurance process to ensure the success of the project and change deliverables. Ensuring that the finance business unit have a full and complete understanding of the change and any implications. • Track and analyse trends and make appropriate recommendations that will simplify and enhance the financial system. • Provide assistance during the project and change mobilisation process. • Perform system and interface integrity checks. • Monitor and resolve daily interface issues. • Operate as support point of contact for Finance system calls from a Business Logic, Data Flow and Data integrity perspective. Work with IT support (first and second level) support to resolve finance system issues. Experience and Knowledge. • Leaving Cert or equivalent & Membership of Professional Accounting Institute or IT qualification is desirable. • 3 years experience in Finance or IT. • Ability to write SQL queries or similar to extract information from HFI and CODA. • Premium and/or Claims knowledge. • Proven ability to work with Third Party suppliers (Unit 4 ) and all IT first and second level support to ensure issues can be resolved. • Proven knowledge of software methodologies and the QA function with a solid understanding of analyst tools and technique• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.• Understanding of the Coda Financial's application, interface and batch functionality is desirable. • Broad understanding and appreciation of different technical layers used by Coda Financials and other Finance systems is desirable.
