Our client Lakeland Dairies are currently recruiting for the position of COMMERCIAL MANAGER AGRI DIVISION. Job Purpose. Lakeland Agri-Division is a market leading provider of a full range of farm inputs to its milk supplier base and well beyond across a 12 county catchment area in the north east of Ireland. Our key focus area is the manufacture and sale of an extensive range of ruminant feedstuffs and our sales approach continues to be technological based on the latest scientific research. As our broad customer base continue to develop and expand their businesses with the help of the latest research, there is a greater requirement for the commercial and sales functions of Lakeland to develop new and innovate methods to not only serve the existing customer base but to add value and introduce new sales tools including an e-commerce platform and offering. Reporting to the Head of Agri Division the Commercial Manager will develop and implement the Division’s strategic commercial plan, by managing the existing business and developing new business through the use of the available resources, brands, products and colleagues. Role Accountabilities: As a key member of the Lakeland Agri Management team, develop, agree and implement a 5 year sales and Marketing plan and sales budget. Develop and manage the key personnel to deliver on the annual sales plan and maintain strategic alliances and relationships with key customers. Develop the Lakeland Rumi Smart Sustain brand through the sales team. Ensure that the field sales team are properly trained, managed, highly motivated and are effective. Ensure that all costs associated with sales are monitored and controlled. To ensure that our company policy with respect to pricing, discounting, payment terms, free product, returns etc. are applied. In conjunction with credit control monitor debtors and adhere to strict targets. Alongside the quality assurance team ensure that all product distributed is to our customers required standard and that complaints are handled professionally and closed out. Alongside the logistics team, ensure our delivery service meets and exceeds our customer requirements. Develop and manage the sales support function ensuring timely and accurate information is always provided. Contribute proactively to the NPD process especially with new concepts and ideas. Manage the commercialisation of any new products and service offerings. Contribute positively and actively to the planning process. Manage and support direct reports to develop accurate forecast volumes. Improve and develop processes in the commercial/sales team. Work closely with the IT team to implement new technologies to improve the effectiveness of the commercial/sales team.
