Boning Hall Supervisor. My client is seeking an experienced and diligent boning hall supervisor, this role is commutable from Meath/Cavan and parts of Longford. Key Duties: To support our clients business strategy through the management of a, LEAN, efficient and effective boning hall operation, striving for best practice in all areas with particular focus on maximizing quality and yield standards whilst adhering to all health, hygiene and safety regulations. To be responsible for overseeing all boning hall operations from pre-bone to the associated palletizing area. To oversee the line operation and coordinate the activities and efforts of boners, trimmers and packers to meet the highest standards and deliver to the expectations of our customers. To take ownership for the effective planning of boning hall operations optimizing deployment of resources to meet the line requirements and the daily expectations in terms of throughput and any other variables. To work closely with Sales and Planning to ensure that daily production plans are attainable and achievable with the resources available. Ensure the correct balance of graded operatives vs graded jobs is maintained to ensure the company gets best value from its labour force and is able to fulfil the day's targets. To manage an efficient, effective boning hall operation ensuring that throughput is maximized at all times whilst maintain quality to deliver the key business production and efficiency targets. To ensure that production is correctly batched at input into the boning halls and that yields are carried out correctly and generated and checked immediately after each boning batch without fail. To build a knowledge of workforce skills and capabilities to be able to utilize appropriately throughout the line always focusing on LEAN manufacturing techniques. Ensure that all operatives and supervisors take full responsibility for product quality and take action immediately through re-training or disciplinary action (if required) to ensure standards are maintained. Conduct post production reviews highlighting internal quality records and formulating a plan for any corrective action accordingly. To deal with third party bodies in a professional manner and manage these relationships professionally, always presenting the company in the best light. To ensure the output and delivery of products are as per customer specification with regard to eligibility, deboning, butchery and packing. To take immediate action in terms of investigating and rectifying customer complains adhering to a critical path and making future proactive changes to avoid repetition. To maintain and improve the health and safety and hygiene standards in accordance with relevant legislative and company requirements. To ensure absolute compliance with HACCP regulations. Enforce the correct usage of PPE and conduct regular risk assessments on abattoir equipment and processes. To participate in site visits and audits, when required, in a manner appropriate to the good of the company's business and ensure all operatives are fully debriefed in preparation of the visit and to implement corrective action in a timely manner. To manage the workforce in compliance with all employment legislation and the company's own policies and practices.
