Matrix Recruitment is working with a large food manufacturing company in the recruitment of a Financial Accountant . This is a 1 year fixed term contract based in Co. Cavan. As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the management of a finance team, preparation of monthly group accounts, forecasting and treasury . This role will report directly to the Group Finance Manager. The main duties in this position are: Responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts adhering to a strict deadline and in line with group accounting policies. Preparation of Sales KPI reports and cashflow on a weekly basis. Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Direct liaison with auditors at year end and ensuring the completion of statutory account packs for internal/external purposes. Treasury management/reporting. Dealing with department managers in all aspects of finance. Preparation of consolidated accounts. Preparation of accounts analysis/variance investigation as is requested. Any other ad hoc business as it may arise such. Applicant will have: ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience, preferably within an FMCG environment. People management experience. Excellent PC Skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse groups of individuals. Highly motivated self-starter and able to work on own initiative. Proven ability to operate as part of a team and manage people. Ability to work under pressure.
