Matrix Recruitment Group is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be based in the Co. Cavan region. What you need to know. As the Design AutomationEngineer you will work for our Manufacturing client who is in the electrical sector . You will report on the progress of systems design and development, project updates and potential solutions and improvements. Salary is negotiable for the right candidate and dependant on experience. Your new role. Key Responsibilities. Improve process and efficiency largely by automating tasks and expanding the scope of existing design tools. Work closely with the design department - design engineers. Translating technical requirements into code is an important part of the role. Cover all areas of design related functions from order to intake to issuing documents to the production floor. Communicate with other sites in regards codes. Develop relationships with other departments and translate them where necessary into steps and orders in design programming. Document rules approved in design tools. What are we looking for? Essential Criteria. Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering or other relevant field. 1-2 years’ experience in Design Automation ideally with programming background. Experience developing new solutions to meet customer requirements. Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to adopt new processes for automation. Excellent communication and IT skills.
