EPS GroupOperations divisionrequire qualified an experienced Process Technician/Scientist. The main areas of operation are in the Cavan area covering wastewater and water treatment plants in the counties of Cavan, Longford, Leitrimand surrounding areas. Duties will include; Routine process monitoring of treatment processes to ensure compliance and cost effectiveness of the various O&M contracts in place. The work will require regular call out and stand by and will involve weekend checking of plants as part of a rota system. Taking, collecting and analysing samples as required on the various process streams. The production of sampling rotas and managing external sampling programmes. Investigating and reporting on process optimisation and process troubleshooting issues. Servicing and calibration ofdosing pumps and in line monitors. Routine odour and noise surveys. A substantial part of the role involves compiling monthly and annual reports to a tight deadline and to a high level of accuracy. Key requirements for the ideal candidate include; At least two years experience in a process industry (ideally with a background in water and wastewater treatment. An excellent understanding of software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel and the use of linked packages is required. A good command of the English language and being able to communicate well both face to face and on the phone at all levels within the Company and with Clients and Statutory bodies is essential. The role covers a large geographical area across the counties so the ideal candidate will live in the area. A full, clean driving licence is essential. The role requires a flexible person who is self motivated, a self-starter who manages their time for the benefit of the particular activity they are involved in. Flexibility in start and finish times is vital to ensure completion of activities. Education Requirements; Third level qualification in environmental science or chemistry.
