Long established Haulage company now seek to hire experienced European Transport Planner. Reporting to the Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include; Job Specification: Assist in the planning of Domestic & European traffic Schedule, control and allocate Drivers as required. Debrief returning Drivers and liaise with appropriate departments to ensure completed paperwork is received and Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation is returned. Ensure all daily customer orders are delivered within the agreed service levels. Monitor, produce and report, daily and weekly management and finance information. Work to continuously improve process through data analysis. Book Ferries as required. Customers KPI’s. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 2 years relevant transport planning experience required both domestic and European. Good knowledge of Transport regulations (i.e. Tachograph and Driving Regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels of the organization. Excellent organizational and administrative skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Very good PC and communication skills. Good analytical and problem solving abilities. A flexible attitude to work, customer focused, detail oriented with the ability to work on own initiative. Terms: Full time, permanant,Flexibility to work an alternate shift pattern 7am to 4pm / 2-10pm (Monday to Saturday) and on call weekend cover on a rotating basis. Package: €Neg.
